Our Story
Eyakho was founded in 2020 by Helene Strauss, an educator and materials developer whose career spanned more than 30 years. She held an Honours degree in English and a Master's degree in Linguistics, but it was her genuine passion for education and language that shaped everything Eyakho would become: training material built with the same care and precision she brought to the classroom.
From the very beginning, Karen Brits worked alongside Helene, keeping Eyakho running smoothly as the business grew. Between Helene's vision and Karen's hands-on expertise, Eyakho became known as a reliable source of high-quality, accreditation-ready training material - built for educators, training providers, and businesses navigating an ever-changing skills landscape.
Helene passed away in January 2024. Her legacy lives on in the way Eyakho still works today - real care for getting the material right, for the people who'll use it. The organisation remains just as committed to supporting skills development, delivering training resources aligned with Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) standards.
Today, under Karen's leadership and a close nit team, Eyakho continues that work helping training institutions and organisations close skills gaps across industries, one accredited pack at a time.
